True Tale Trail Episode 18: Jesus the Trailblazer

In today’s episode of the True Tale Trail we’re going to talk about the most important trail topic ever, how to become forgiven friends of Jesus!

We’ll kick things off with a modern-day parable about a kid getting lost in the woods and then will use that to talk about how Jesus is our trailblazer who made a way for us to return home to God.

  1. Ask them what they see in each picture. If you’re using the coloring sheet, let them color as you walk through the good news about Jesus and how they can respond.
  2. Share with them what each picture means.
  3. Look up the Bible verse that goes with each picture and read it together.
  4. Encourage kids to ask questions and listen well to see if they might be ready to trust in Jesus, turn from sin, make Jesus their King and be baptized as they choose to follow Him.

True Tale Trail Episode 14: The Wise and Foolish Builders

What do beavers, dams, and a house built on a rock have in common? In this week’s episode of The True Tale Trail, we’re heading out on the trail to discover how one of God’s most talented animal builders points us to an important lesson taught by Jesus.

Kids will learn fun facts about beavers—God’s furry construction workers—and then hear Jesus’ story about the wise and foolish builders from Matthew 7. Along the way, families will be reminded that a life built on Jesus is the only thing that lasts.

This episode helps kids understand what it means to not just hear God’s Word, but to do what it says, building their lives on Jesus, the solid rock who helps us stay strong when hard times come.
