True Tale Trail Episode 4: Walking with God

Have you ever gone on a walk with someone you really enjoy spending time with—maybe a family member, a friend, or even your dog? Walking together means sticking close, talking, laughing, and sharing the adventure.

In this week’s brand-new episode of The True Tale Trail, we’re asking a big question: What does it mean to walk with God?

We’ll head back to the very beginning of the Bible to meet a man named Enoch, who lived in a world where most people were walking the wrong way. But Enoch was different—he chose to walk faithfully with God. And the amazing part? You and I can do that too!

Through this episode, kids will discover that walking with God isn’t about taking a hike or climbing a mountain. It’s about staying close to God every day—trusting Him, talking with Him, and following His lead, no matter where life’s trail takes us.

Bible Verse: “Even though your sins are bright red, they will be as white as snow.” – Isaiah 1:18 (NIrV)

Isn’t snow amazing? When a big snowstorm comes, it turns our yards into a winter wonderland. The fresh, beautiful snow covers up all the dirt and grime and makes the world look new.

Did you know that God talks about snow in the Bible? He tells us about something that’s ever more fun than building snowmen and going sledding.

The Bible tells us that snow can remind us of God’s forgiveness.

Sometimes we all make selfish choices. We choose to do things our way instead of God’s way. The Bible calls these wrong choices sin. Sin causes all kinds of problems.

But here’s the good news. God loves us anyway. Even though He is perfect, He still wants to be our friend. That’s why He sent Jesus. Jesus died on the cross to wipe away our sin so we could be forgiven friends of God. That’s called grace!

God’s grace covers our sin like a fresh snow covers your yard, and this grace makes our hearts clean and new because of Jesus!

The Bible says, “When anyone lives in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone! The new is here!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIrV)

Is there anything you’ve done wrong lately you feel guilty about? If so, just talk to God about it. Tell Him you’re sorry. Ask Him to help you start over and thank Him for the forgiveness He promises through Jesus.

Prayer:

God, thank You for sending Jesus to take away my sin. Thank You that I can be forgiven and brand new. Thank You for the the best snow day ever! Amen!
